Bancoii is not able to guide them, but in some cases we can be of some help, like developing together investments policy statements, showing our experience selecting external managers and alternative investment vehicles, or providing tax-efficient capital markets services.

Written Investment Policy Statement

A written investment policy statement is a very useful tool for supervising, managing, monitoring and evaluating the client´s investment assets and long-term financial results. A comprehensive policy statement may dramatically improve the chances of success by removing ambiguity, providing clear guidance and establishing accountability for all parties involved. An especially valuable aspect of the policy is that it states precisely how and when performance will be measured.

Elements of the statement may include:

Statement of Objectives. Articulates the investment goals, income needs, tax constraints, time horizon, risk tolerance and return expectations.

Investment Guidelines and Policy. States asset class preferences and establishes acceptable ranges for exposure to each asset class; sets the guidelines for credit quality and maturities and duration of fixed income securities.

Selection of Asset Classes. Documents the asset classes to be used in constructing the portfolio, the specific products that will be employed, and benchmarks that will be used to measure performance.

Communication Plan. Details how the client will be informed, including the type and frequency of reports, on-line account access, and a meeting schedule.

Control Procedures. Set forth the duties and responsibilities of the Family Office, Bancoii and the other client´s advisors; define how the total portfolio and advisors will be monitored.

Selection of External Managers

Bancoii utilizes the collective experience, knowledge, research, and performance data of Bancoii collaborators and Bankers to create a selection of third-party managers for clients´s advisors. The selection centers on assessing the talent, philosophy, process, and performance of each manager.
